Its Merdeka Race 2022 and known as Proton-MSF Merdeka race as the event was held in conjunction with Proton Carnival. Endurance format with 2 heat races required a good strategy to finish on podium.
#969 – Tuner Production
We won podium, No. 1 for Tuner Production category. It was raining cats & dogs when this category started to race. In race 1, heavy downpour forces the race to end up behind safety race. A brilliant driver by Fadhlan, ensure we secure a podium finished.
#819 – Saga Cup Intermediate
It wasn’t a good day for the #819 this time around. A broken carburetor cable linkage force Sharina Ramlle to retire on lap 5 of first heat. Technical crew managed to fix the car for our second driver, Aik Sha to start second heat. She charged towards front pack of the group, managed to overtake 13 cars before spun off at turn 8 which damaged the car rear axle. Despite the damage, she still continues the race and finished the race.
#619 – Standard Production
With championship points in hand, we decide to continue race in this category but with a different car, Suzuki Swift. This is the 1st time for both drivers, Aik Sha & Sharina Ramlle driving this car. Race under heavy rain, they only managed to finished 9th in standard production category.
