Estrada by Pulzar Malaysia goes racing again! We started our 2022 race season in MSF Super Turismo Round 1 at Sepang International Circuit on 06 March 2022. Introducing our new driver line-up and our new race car, Toyota Starlet EP80.
#969 Toyota Starlet – Street Tuned
We are competing in the same category but with a new car this time around. It was a good race where Fadhlan started 4th on the grid. He was able to dash forward up to 2nd place as soon as the race start.
A good 4 laps of racing with the race leader when he noticed the car started to lose power. He pits in on the 6th lap, and we decided to retire from the race as the engine having a mechanical problem. A podium position slips through our hand, but we have to take the decision to avoid any further damage to the car.
#819 Saga – Saga Cup Casual
It is our first race with 2 drivers for our #819 Saga since we start to race this car in 2019. Driven by Sharina Ramlle and Aik Sha, we are aiming to finish on podium for our first race.
The ladies manage to qualify on pole position for Saga Casual Cup, and it seems everything goes well and we have potential to finish on podium.
Race start, so does the race drama. Spun twice during her stint, with desire and determination Sharina managed to chase back from 14th position to 5th position before she handed the car to Aik Sha. The chase continues, where Aik Sha has been pushing to the limit to gain better place.
Aik Sha gave all she got, chasing one car after another, and on the 13th lap her timing exceeds the allowable limit for Saga Cup. #819 was in podium position at this moment, but then, rule is rule. The #819 automatically shifted to higher class which is Saga Cup Intermediate and finished the race at 14th position.
Overall it was a good race for the team. Despite a bittersweet result, we went back with our head high, knowing that we able to compete in the class we are racing. Till next race!
